UX Researcher | Mobile Mental Health Support

  • Lead end-to-end UX research at a startup developing an attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) support mobile application, collaborating with executives, marketing stakeholders and UX designers to align user needs with business goals.
  • Conduct mixed methods user research, developing user interviews and usability tests, defining success metrics, and evaluating onboarding, content, and navigation opportunities through affinity mapping.
  • Analyze 8 ADHD-support mobile applications through competitive analysis, comparing onboarding, user navigation, personalization, and in-the-the-moment support, mapping opportunities to fulfill ADHD accessibility needs. 
  • Synthesize mix-methods research insights from secondary research, usability tests digital ethnography, and competitive analysis, creating affinity maps evaluating the ADHD user experience and mapping product opportunities. 
  • Create journey maps based on user research insights, developing stakeholder-facing product recommendations that guide product development for an ADHD support mobile application. 

UX Research Assistant | AI/HCI User Survey Research

  • Performed mixed-methods survey research comparing user survey results from a 2-year research project (Year 1, n=121; Year 2, n=125) comparing user familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI), trust and ethical concerns, and user expectations. 
  • Cleaned, coded and conducted qualitative analysis of 200+ open-ended survey responses from 2 studies, identifying patterns related to generative AI use, user expectations, and trust.
  • Analyzed 10+ quantitative survey metrics, mapping changing user attitudes related to generative AI familiarity, trust and ethical concerns, and changing user mental models between 2023 and 2025.
  • Synthesized qualitative and quantitative research findings, creating and presenting stakeholder-facing research insights at an international HCI conference in June 2025. 

UX Researcher | PTSD Support App Capstone Project

January 2025 – May 2025

  • Led end-to-end mixed-methods UX research, developing 2 high-fidelity Figma prototypes to address support needs of veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mapping user needs, market gaps, and opportunities. 
  • Conducted 3 UX interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), competitive analysis of 15 mental health mobile applications, and digital ethnography of 500+ social media posts, mapping gaps, user needs, and product experiences. 
  • Analyzed user needs related to mental health stigma, help-seeking and trauma-informed accessibility needs through secondary research, translating qualitative and quantitative research insights into themes surrounding digital support. 
  • Identified 4 systemic barriers for veterans requiring mental health support through affinity mapping, taking research insights and creating 2 journey maps and 1 storyboard explaining product requirements for veteran-centric mobile apps. 
  • Conducted cognitive walkthrough of 2 high-identity Figma prototypes, collaborating with 1 clinician stakeholder to ensure prototype feasibility and accessibility of user-facing product.

  • Conducted UX audit of B2B ecommerce platform, mapping customer workflows and documenting usability issues related to navigation, homepage calls to action (CTAs), and checkout workflows.
  • Prioritized 20+ usability issues in Microsoft Excel, ranking usability concerns by severity and user impact, presenting insights to marketing stakeholders and executives, with recommendations leading to a 10% increase in conversion rates.
